SMALL SCULPTURES

After a first sculpture cast in bronze in 1983, based on a plaster original from the early 1970s, Erich Engelbrecht made further sculptures in steel between the mid-1980s and early 1990s, stemming from blueprints dating from 1984 to 1992.
Most of them received a black lacquer coating in Holterdorf, others a galvanised finish in Werther (Westphalia).
All these steel sculptures with a height of about 90 cm and a thickness of almost 3 cm were manufactured under his supervision in a metal workshop in Bielefeld.
In addition, he created a small series of sculptures in precious metal, each about 30 cm high, in various polished precious metal finishes.
These works date from his last creative period, long before the creation of the sculpture park in Fougis, and were also reproduced in other dimensions (both larger and smaller).
