PAINTINGS

This collection showcases a selection of paintings from the early creative period of Erich Engelbrecht, spanning from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s. These works represent his initial artistic endeavours. The first paintings were produced in Bielefeld, and as his career progressed, he relocated to Melle, where he had the opportunity to work on larger formats. Additionally, some pieces were created during his winter stays in Locarno.
Erich Engelbrecht demonstrated versatility in his choice of materials, employing both wooden panels and canvases as supports. This selection not only illustrates his development as an artist but also offers an insight into the beginning of a remarkable artistic journey.
